Program Note

Sections is a tribute to Central Valley, California, where views of large chunks of farmland with rows of crops lined in an orderly fashion are juxtaposed with views of plains that seem to extend beyond eye's reach; where the sharp, white tips of rugged mountains slowly shift into smooth, green hills. This land beautifully and harmlessly merges order with freedom, predictability with surprise. It knows that industry must live with our Earth, not against it.
